my idea for "little people"

for one of my pictures i am going to use a figure and put it infront of the computer and show what the differnce in size is. the figure im going to use is the small girl because she is the smallest and i think that i could use her as a student. another one could be where i use a few figures and sit them around the computer desk.

another idea is to have a bottle of drink and have one of the figures beside it and have a pack of chewing gum and will still be bigger then the figure.

i could get a book open it up to a page and have a figure standing infront of it so it looks like its reading..

i could have a figure sitting on a bench outside and show how small they actually are.

if think this is a good way to show how the college is and what it has to offer.

i like this picture because it is a small pin but it has made it look like it was a big object that has killed someone.

Decisive Moment's

a decisive moment is when you take a picture just as something you havn't planned happens. to get a decisive picture you have to be at the right place at the right time.
this is a decisive moment because i got the picture  just as the cat moved away

i got this picture as a squirell runs up a tree and i got it at the right moment.

i got this picture as a car drives around a roundabout and i got it just at the right time.

assingment 2. my pictures

i like this picture because you can see grass blades and it has a lot of detail with it.
this picture is good because it is a close up of a flower and has a lot of colour and detail with it.
i like this because it shows nature and this animal is getting its food so it can survive the cold conditions.
this is also a good picture because it is a close up shot that you can see the detail and has more flowers behind it.
i like this one because it is a meduim close up that has a lot of detail.

assingment 1

1) what is the differnce between traditional photgraphy and digital photography ?. traditional photography means it uses light and crystals and if the crystals react to the light then it will not work where as digital you do not need the crystals because it has a sensor instead of a film.

2) what are the differnt sources of digital images ?.
- camera's                    memory stick
- dvds                          hardrive
- mobile phones           cctv
- internet
most of these that have been listed actually take the picture and dont have to re file it or mess around with it but some you have to move and format to get the picture.

3) how are digital image files stored and played on a computer ?.
if it is a good camera that you are using then the format will be RAW but they are very big files and take up a lot of space for just pictures and they cannot be edited apart from photshop.
( USB cable WI-FI, bluetooth ) J-peg squashes the quality of the picture to make it a smaller file but still has a good standered.

4) how is digital image file quality measured ?.
anoloque, you have to use the light sensitive e.g. you have to use photographic paper and when converting them the reason why it is red is because it is the only colour that works with the paper.
with a one megapixel camera it means there is 1 million pixels and it is not very good to compare with a 6 mega pixel, and the differnce between them are that the 1 megapixel is more blurry and doesnt have the same quality.

lesson 1

i want to be able to know the actual meaning of pictures and the importance of them.
