Digital photogrphy

1) Can you find Image evidence of the technique? -

2) When was it first discovered and by whom? - the first digital photo to be taken and work happened in 1951 and the inventer of this was Steven Sasson

3) What is special about the technique? - what is so special about this technique is that it can take a real life upfront snap and it will show it how it was with the exact placings as when was taken. it is so important in today's life and many people rely on them working for thier jobs.. they have come such a long way since it was invented and now looks more real then ever...

4) How does this technique work? Can you find or describe the processes needed to make it work? Maybe illustrate how it is made. -digital photography is a form of photography that uses an array of light sensitive sensors to capture the image focused by the lens, as opposed to an exposure on light sensitive film. The captured image is then stored as a digital file ready for digital processing e.g.colour correction, sizing, cropping, viewing or printing...

5) Can you comment how important this technique has been for the history of photography. For example was it popular and is it still used today?. - i think that digital photography is so important to photographers in todays age because a lot of important pictures and meaningful pictures would of never of been taken. it was used when it was first invented and is still in use today. most family's will have a camera and mainly all of them will be digital...

daguerreotype

  1. Can you find Image evidence of the technique? - when i saw a picture of the moon in a Daguerreotype photo i didnt see a difference in pictures and i woudlnt be able to tell or not if it is...
  2. When was it first discovered and by whom? - the Daguerreotype was invented in 1839 and was invented by Louis-Jacques-Mandé Daguerr.
  3. What is special about the technique?- what is so special about this technique is that it iss hand made and looks very simple. he was a very clever man and knew what he was doing.
  4. How does this technique work? Can you find or describe the processes needed to make it work? Maybe illustrate how it is made. They are made on polished silver, so they are reflective, much like a mirror. Because silver is subject to tarnish, daguerreotypes were sealed with paper tape behind glass plates so that they were not exposed to air and corrupted that is how they are made and they do look simpe but are not. they consist on a lot of hard work and preperation..
  5. Can you comment how important this technique has been for the history of photography. For example was it popular and is it still used today?-  the technique has been very important to the history of photography for years as for ome time this is how you could see a picture. it was very popular and it is clever because it looks 3 dimentional and can only copy the picture once. it  still used today and is still used in the same way today.

my idea for "little people"

for one of my pictures i am going to use a figure and put it infront of the computer and show what the differnce in size is. the figure im going to use is the small girl because she is the smallest and i think that i could use her as a student. another one could be where i use a few figures and sit them around the computer desk.

another idea is to have a bottle of drink and have one of the figures beside it and have a pack of chewing gum and will still be bigger then the figure.

i could get a book open it up to a page and have a figure standing infront of it so it looks like its reading..

i could have a figure sitting on a bench outside and show how small they actually are.

if think this is a good way to show how the college is and what it has to offer.
